삼성전자가 내년 1월 미국 라스베이거스에서 열리는 세계 최대 전자 전시회 ‘CES 2023’을 앞두고 최고혁신상 3개를 포함해 총 46개의 ‘CES 혁신상’을 수상했다고 17일 밝혔다.
미국소비자기술협회(The Consumer Technology Association, CTA)는 16일(현지시간) 28개 부문에 걸쳐 CES 혁신상 수상 제품과 기술을 발표했다.
삼성전자는 영상디스플레이 18개, 모바일 11개, 생활가전 10개, 반도체 7개 등 총 46개의 혁신상을 받아 지난 CES 2020과 함께 역대 최다 수상 타이 기록을 세웠다.
업계에서 가장 혁신적인 제품이나 기술에 수여하는 최고혁신상은 영상디스플레이에서 2개, 반도체에서 1개를 각각 수상했다.
2023년형 TV 신제품이 12년 연속 최고혁신상을 수상했으며, 게이밍 모니터는 작년에 이어 2년 연속 최고혁신상을 수상했다.
모바일 부문에서는 최근 출시해 시장에서 큰 호응을 얻고 있는 ‘갤럭시 Z 폴드4’, ‘갤럭시 Z 플립4’를 비롯해 ‘갤럭시 워치5 프로’, ‘삼성월렛’ 등 다양한 제품과 기술이 혁신상을 수상했다.
반도체 부문에서는 업계 최초로 하드웨어 보안칩, 지문 센서, 보안 프로세서를 하나의 IC칩에 통합해 원칩(One-Chip)으로 만든 생체인증카드용 솔루션인 ‘지문인증 IC(S3B512C)’가 최고혁신상을 수상했다.
CES 혁신상 수상 제품은 내년 1월 5일부터 8일까지 미국 라스베이거스 컨벤션센터에 전시된다.
■Samsung Wins 46 CES 2023 Innovation Awards From the CTA...New record tie
Samsung Electronics announced on the 17th that 46 of its new products and service innovations have received CES 2023 Innovation Award honors, including three Best of Innovation Honorees from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). The annual program honors outstanding design and engineering across a multitude of consumer technology product categories.
Samsung products were distinguished as Innovation Awards Honorees in Digital Imaging/Photography, Mobile Devices & Accessories, Gaming, Digital Health, Wearable Technologies, Video Displays, Home AV Components & Accessories, and Software & Mobile Apps categories.
Several of these honorees incorporate eco-conscious features, including the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4, which are both made with repurposed fishing nets and include 100% recycled paper for flagship product packaging. The company received recognition as the prestigious Best of Innovation Honoree in Computer Peripherals & Accessories, Video Displays, and Cybersecurity & Personal Privacy categories.
The Innovation Awards are sponsored by CTA, the host and organizer of CES, and recognized worldwide as the global stage for innovation and the most influential tech event in the world.
