LG Electronics (CEO Jo Joo-Wan, LG) announced on the 25th that it would launch the 'LG Gram Fold', which fully captures the technology and design innovation of the 'LG Gram', synonymous with ultra-light and premium laptops, after 10 years of a launch.
Recently, LG Display announced that it has begun mass production of ‘OLED panels for 17-inch foldable laptops.’ This panel has been expanded from the existing automotive OLED to IT use, dramatically increasing its lifespan.

The LG Gram Fold is characterized by being thin and easy to bend, as it does not require a backlight.
LG has strengthened connectivity with various peripheral devices to accommodate multiple form factors, such as a 12-inch laptop when folded and a 17-inch tablet and e-book when unfolded.
Performance has been enhanced by applying Intel's latest 13th-generation processor and the latest low-power memory.
It is equipped with a large capacity battery of 72 watt hours (Wh), and the main body weight is approximately 1,250 grams, making it easy to carry.
LG will sell the LG Gram Fold through the LG Electronics Online Brand Shop from the 4th of next month.
“The Gram Fold is the new standard for premium laptops presented by Gram, which has continued to innovate for the past 10 years,” said Kim Seon-Hyung, managing director of LG Electronics. He added, “We will go beyond limitations and present a new lifestyle to customers with a laptop everyone envies.”

LG전자(대표이사 조주완)가 올해로 10년 차를 맞은 초경량·프리미엄 노트북의 대명사 ‘LG 그램(gram)’의 기술과 디자인 혁신을 고스란히 담아낸 ‘LG 그램 폴드(Fold)’를 출시한다고 25일 밝혔다.
최근 LG디스플레이는 ‘17인치 폴더블 노트북용 OLED 패널’ 양산에 돌입했다고 밝혔는데 이 패널은 기존 차량용 OLED에서 IT용으로 확대 적용해 수명을 획기적으로 늘렸다.
한국 브랜드 최초 폴더블(Foldable) 노트북 ‘LG 그램 폴드(모델명: 17X90R)’는 초경량·대화면이라는 LG만의 정체성을 계승해 화면을 접었다 펼칠 수 있는 기술도 도입했다.
LG 그램 폴드는 백라이트가 필요 없어 얇고, 구부리기 용이한 점이 특징이다.
LG전자는 접으면 12형 노트북, 펼치면 17형 태블릿, 전자책 등 다양하게 변환되는 폼팩터에 맞춰 다양한 주변 기기와의 연결성 등을 강화했다.
인텔의 최신 13세대 프로세서와 최신 저전력 메모리를 적용해 성능을 강화했다.
72와트시(Wh) 대용량 배터리를 탑재하고 본체 무게는 약 1,250그램으로 휴대가 용이하다.
LG전자는 내달 4일부터 LG전자 온라인브랜드샵을 통해 LG 그램 폴드를 판매한다.
LG전자 김선형 상무는 “그램 폴드는 지난 10년간 혁신을 이어온 그램이 제시하는 새로운 프리미엄 노트북의 기준”이라며 “한계를 넘어 ‘모두가 선망하는 노트북’으로 고객에게 새로운 라이프스타일을 제시할 것”이라고 말했다.
